Say hello to this Seiko Navigator Timer GMT. It is an undeniably sophisticated timepiece. The early '70s saw demand for timepieces designed for pilots that could keep track of multiple timezones. These Automatic Navigator Timers were highly sought after and also found their homes on the wrists of finance professionals, executives, and lawyers.
Belonging to Aubrey Churchill, an RAAF Airman awarded for bravery over France and Germany, this particular Seiko Navigation Timer is in original unpolished condition, paired with the NATO strap worn by the airman himself. Chosen as the tool of choice by a man who had faced the macabre reality of war, this timepiece is a unique vintage tool timepiece, one carrying an extraordinary story.
The plexiglass has some moderate scuffing and scratches but can be replaced. It is accompanied with this seiko box however, this box is not the original box for this particular watch.
