____
Betsy, a stunning Victorian openwork pendant encrusted with glistening rubies, sapphires, and diamonds, shows stunning foliate detail in 9 carat yellow gold topped with silver.

The silver-top technique enhances the brilliance of coloured gemstones and diamonds, while openwork and foliate piercing reflects the era's fascination with naturalistic motifs.

The Betsy Pendant Gem Details
The butterfly pendant features twelve deep red to pinkish red rubies measuring from 4.90 to 2.30x2.50 millimetres and five greyish blue sapphires measuring from 3.90 to 2.70x2.10 millimetres. The eyeballs of the butterfly are made from 1.50 millimetres round cabochon red glass. The main section of the wings of the butterfly contain thirty-two old rose cut diamonds measuring from 1.10 to 1.70 millimetres. NOTE: All gemstones exhibit minor surface abrasions and wear consistent with the age of the piece. These characteristics are typical for jewellery of this period and do not significantly impact the item's structural integrity or aesthetic appeal.

Size
The pendant measures approximately 40x30 millimetres.
