the symbol of the love you gave
in times of harmony
rests on my hand in perfect form
forever bound to me
and though once you were lost to me
in times of war and strife
your memory remained through
every moment of my life
when oftentimes I bow my head
and look upon my hand
I always see you smiling face
my sweet and perfect man
you were and always shall remain
the light within my life
the one who gave me strength to be
your always loving wife
