The Rolex Datejust, originating in 1945 and spanning eras through to the current Rolex catalogue, has shown nearly all its colours, or so we thought. In 2018, Rolex reintroduced the Datejust 36 with an enchanting dial combination.
This 2018 Datejust, reference 126233, features an opulent sunburst green dial colour complemented by the Roman 6 o’clock and 9 o’clock, set in 18 carat yellow gold with 24 diamonds. A stunning combination no doubt, especially when paired with the solid 18 carat yellow ‘Rolesor’ gold fluted bezel and iconic Jubilee bracelet and Rolex cyclops over the date window at 3 o’clock.
Whilst drawing from the traditional Datejust in many ways, this 36-millimetre configuration is refreshing and rather eclectic. Dancing the line between luxury and sporty, this Datejust combines the best of both utility and treasure.
